Asteroid 1998 QE2

Asteroid 1998 QE2 flew by Earth earlier today and astronomers were surprised to find out it is being orbited by a small moon. 1998 QE2 is nearly 3 km across and although it doesn't pose a threat for Earth, it's a reminder of how vulnerable we are.
The radar images below were captured when the asteroid was 6 million kilometers away from Earth and the small white dot is its moon.
